BEE PANG

No it is not related with Bee. Let me introduce to you a traditional snack from Sarawak. As you can see from the packaging, it is call "Biskit Bee Pang". Bee Pang or Fragrant Rice is made of Deep Fried Rice. You can try it out. Anytime you are deep frying chicken or etc, throw in some uncooked or cooked rice. It is sort of like popcorn.

This is a closer look at the label. If you can read Bahasa Malaysia, the ingredient is written on the label. Let me translate into english: Ingredient: Gula-Gula = Sugar, Beras = Uncooked Rice, Bawang Merah = Red Onion, and Minyak Sayur = Vegetable Oil. If you need further clarification on the ingredients, or, want to place an order, please call the number below.

Bee Pang is packed in this baking paper.

This is how it looks like when you unwrapped it. Golden yellowish in color.

This is the close up shot of the Bee Pang. Don't mistaken it as maggot, you know the things that crawl out from your rice cooker if you did not wash it for one week. You know what i am saying.. Hahaha the redish, brownish thing on top of the bee pang is the deep fried red onion.

Too bad you cannot taste it or smell it. It is very addictive. you can't stop eating after the first bite. If you have a chance to go to Kuching, drop by the store. It is somewhere at Kenyalang Park. Good Luck!
